Spring Listening

"Listen deeply, with compassion and curiosity and without judgement. " This quote, copied from a now forgotten source, is pinned by my computer. The words offer an alternative to complaint, as snow mounds in the crotch of trees. Today is the equinox. Listen.

I am a keeper of my family's lore, chasing after my ancestors' tales in south central New York, southwestern Pennsylvania and Southside Virginia. The stories and photographs that I share on this blog are my intellectual property. While I do my very best to provide well researched posts, I do not pretend to have reached genealogical proof standards. Therefore, much of this work is to generate conversation among interested parties. If you would like to share my work or my records, please contact me: dkaysdays (at) gmail (dot) com.

You should seek out a venue for showing your photography?!! A local arts council perhaps? A photography group? I love your eye. And your captions enhance your shots so perfectly.

Wow! Thank you for this encouragement, Amy! I haven’t looked for a venue, but I will certainly try! Thanks for this little push!
